Exceptions will be made if:
you have studied in one of the countries mentioned above, or in the U.S. within the past three years and have a good academic record at the school attended.
you have a recent TOEFL score (less than two years old), you will not be required to retake the TOEFL; however, at the discretion of the Admissions Office, applicants may be required to take the TSE and a written exam.
Applicants who are exempted from the TOEFL, TSE and TWE may be required to take the GRE.
*Internationals, or legal residents with a green card, who apply for INTT and have a master's degree earned in a foreign country must submit a TOEFL score—they are not exempt from the TOEFL just because they have an MA from their home country. They are only exempt from submitting a TOEFL (or GRE) score if they have earned the master's degree in the USA.

All admitted non-English speaking international
students will be required to take the English Proficiency Exams at
Wheaton during International Orientation week whether or not they
submitted TOEFL scores. Those who do not pass the Wheaton English
Proficiency exams will need to take the Advanced English Composition
course and/or Advanced Academic Interaction. These courses are designed
for those who need additional English language proficiency and will
greatly enhance a student's academic achievement.
