How to Apply for Financial Aid

Fill out the FAFSA as soon as you can

FAFSA = Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Thank you for your interest in the Wheaton College Graduate School. Wheaton College awards over $625,000 annually in need-based grants and over $60,000 in merit awards to MA-level students. Additionally, there is over $300,000 in scholarship funds for our Doctor of Psychology students.

By combining scholarship and grant funds with federal-loan eligibility, we can provide a financial aid award to help you meet tuition, book, and living expenses.

1. Important: File the FAFSA well before applying for admission, if possible.

If you will need to know your financial aid package before you can accept admission to Wheaton, complete the FAFSA before you apply for admission. This will help you get your aid package as soon as possible. Your offer of admission and financial-aid package might not arrive at the same time.

2. See which awards require an essay.

Please see Types of Financial Aid for details.

3. Get a quick estimate of your aid.

See the Financial Aid Department's table that estimates grants and loans.

Fill out FAFSA4caster, from the U.S. Department of Education's office of Federal Student Aid.
