MA in Teaching (Elementary or Secondary Education Certification)

 

  1. Application deadlines.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an approved institution and in an approved major.
    1. Institution.
      1. Regionally accredited and
      2. Approved by its state for teacher education.
    2. Major.
      1. For Elementary Ed.: major in the liberal arts & sciences.
      2. For Secondary Ed.: major in an approved field of specialization.
        1. English/Language Arts.
        2. Foreign Language (French, German, or Spanish).
        3. Mathematics.
        4. Science (designation in Biology, Chemistry, Earth/Space Science, or Physics).
        5. Social Science (designation in History).
  3. Minimum GPA 2.8.
  4. Complete application for admission.
    1. GRE General Test scores (Tips for taking GRE, New GRE question types).
      1. International students: submit TOEFL scores rather than GRE scores.
        1. TOEFL requirements.
    2. Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended.
    3. Three recommendations.
      1. Academic.
      2. Pastoral (or other Christian leader).
      3. Professional (employer).
    4. Essays.
    5. Resume.
    6. Signed Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
    7. Application processing fee: $30, non-refundable.
