“I'm learning that the world is full of opportunities for creative and meaningful work, but also full of fear and in desperate need of healing and hope. I'm also gaining confidence in the desire of God for His disciples to bring this healing and hope in word and deed to every area society.”

Where did you grow up?

Elmhurst, IL

Why did you choose Wheaton for your graduate education?

Wheaton offers an extremely strong liberal arts grounding thoroughly integrated with the Christian life. I’m treated like an individual person, but also as a colleague and fellow leader in my field.

What type of ministry experiences have you had in the past?

Youth ministry, short-term international  missions, hospitality

What are the goals or dreams that God has given you for the future?

I look forward to teaching as a vocation of re-opening students’ imaginations, and inviting them into a new, larger, and more lively world. I would love to have a family of my own, to be involved in creative projects, to minister in my church in sacramental and holistic ways, and to be someone who facilitates new and better ideas and inventions.

What is your favorite place on campus?

Blanchard Lawn

What are you learning in the classroom or outside the classroom, as a student at Wheaton?

I’m learning that the world is full of opportunities for creative and meaningful work, but also full of fear and in desperate need of healing and hope. I’m also gaining confidence in the desire of God for His disciples to bring this healing and hope in word and deed to every area society.

Why would you recommend WCGS to a friend?

Unlike many such MAT programs, Wheaton’s is resisting the temptation to dilute itself in face of pressures to simply run more people through the education mill. Here, you will be lifted up into the full dignity and professionalism of your field.
